This morning, Friday, May 16th, we held our traditional May Crowning, where we celebrated the crowning of the Blessed Mother Mary by one of our eighth graders. This year, Ayden Brown (8) had the honor of crowning the Virgin Mary right after the ceremony.

Thank you to the BSS families who brought in flowers for Mary. They are currently on display in both campuses. Right after, students celebrating their First Communion this month, took pictures with the Virgin Mary.

Middle School Athletic Banquet Success!

We held our Annual Middle School Athletic Banquet last Wednesday, May 14th, from 6-7:30 pm at the gym. It was wonderful to see all of the students, coaches, parent volunteers, and staff who made this year's Athletic Department a possibility and a success! Thank you for all of your support!

We also thank our Athletic Director, Coach Morrison, for coordinating all sports activities this year. Go Knights! 💙💛

Spring Sing Success!

We celebrated our annual Spring Sing last Monday, May 12th, at St. Mark's Community Chruch. It was wonderful to see all of our students sing, from our Little Knights to the solos that our middle school students performed. Thank you, BSS families, for sharing your children with us. A Special Shout Out to Mrs. Spradlin & Mrs. Kennedy for preparing this year's Spring Sing 2025!!

I would once again like to thank the whole BSS family for an amazing Spring Sing concert last Monday! Mrs. Spradlin and I would not have been able to pull off such a wonderful performance without the dedication and hard work that made it happen!

In addition, I wanted to let everyone know that orders for the video recording by Riverdog Studios will be closing at the end of next week, on Friday, May 23rd! Don't miss your chance to take home our Musical Magic Spring Sing concert for just $15. 1st and 2nd Grade Fieldtrip to the Science Center 

Yesterday, Thursday, May 15th, our 1st and 2nd grade students went to the Greensboro Natural Science Center and had a wonderul time learning about the different animals and their habitat. Here are some pictures of their visit.

Thank you to the parents who were able to come with our 1st and 2nd grade teachers and helped chaperon the students.

Kindergarten Field Trip to the Museum of Life and Science

Last Friday, May 9th, Mrs. Cruz & Ms. Tonya's Kindergarten classes went to the Museum of Life and Science in Durham, NC! Thank you, parent chaperones, who were able to accompany the students. Everybody had a great time!

PECSAA Meet!

Last Sunday, May 11th, BSS participated in their last Meet of the school year. We got 4th place, but our students did great; not only today but throughout the school year! Thank you very much, Coach Clifton, for preparing our students for their run every week this year. Thank you, parent volunteers, because without you, we cannot have sports!

The students' final score was Blue 454 / Gold 428. 💙💛

Summer Camp is now Open for Registration!

Campers will do a myriad of activities based on the week’s theme. Going beyond just arts and crafts, children will be able to get hands-on experience with various animals, as well as do a deep dive into their differing environments. Knights of Summer X-STREAM Adventures is available for children aged 3- rising 8th grade. Before and after camp care will be available.

2025-2026 Tuition Rates Published!

Dear BSS Families,

Please review the 2025-2026 Tuition Rates for the upcoming school year! We have only increased the K-8 Tuition. The Little Knights's tuition, enrollment fee, and STEAMM Fees will remain the same. If you believe that your family will need a scholarship, please apply for an NC Opportunity Scholarship, which will open applications for new families from February 6th to March 6th, 2025. Your family is also welcome to apply to our BSS Scholarship via the FACTS Grant & Aid determination process-We just ask you to apply for an Opporutnity Scholarship first.

Summer Uniforms

Friendly reminder, we will be transitioning to Summer Uniforms on April 7th, 2025!

Winter uniforms begin next Monday, November 4th. Just a few reminders:

1. French Toast items run very differently in sizing from Lands End. Sounds like the tops are much smaller.
2. Review our Uniform Guidelines by CLICKING HERE.
3. If you order any logo items and they are the wrong size, they CANNOT be returned.
4. Orders are arriving in about a week. So if you need new shirts, you should order them as soon as possible to receive them in time.
5. Graham Sporting Goods is the ONLY provider of PE shirts. French Toast will not be offering them.

If you are bringing lunch to your child, please make sure it is labeled with your student's name and grade level and leave it on the table just outside the front door of the school--Do not forget to buzz the office to let us know you dropped by.

PE Uniforms:

You can still purchase PE uniforms locally at Graham Sporting Goods. They have yellow PE shirts, solid sweatpants, and zip-up jackets. You do NOT have to get the logo on the sweatpants, but it must be on the jacket and sweatshirt.

PE pants need to be solid navy. There should not be any lines down the sides or decals on them.
