We are thrilled to welcome our students and staff back to Blessed Sacrament School! After almost two weeks of being closed due to the winter weather in our area, we are eager to reunite and continue our learning journey together.

We want to extend a heartfelt thank you to all our families for your patience and understanding during this challenging time. Your support has been invaluable as we navigated the effects of the storm, and we are grateful to have such a wonderful community. Let's try this again: BSS celebrates Catholic Schools Week and Spirit Week: Homeroom Themed Doors, February 8th-February 16th

Mark your calendar for all of the fun! The theme of this year's Catholic Schools Week is Catholic Schools: United in Faith and Community. We celebrate Catholic Schools Week each year with Catholic Schools around the United States! 

It's also BSS Spirit Week! Thank you to our National Junior Honor Society for our fun list of daily dress-up themes! Students may dress down each day in the "theme for the day". Students choosing not to participate in that day's theme will need to wear their school uniform. $.25 per day or $1.00 for the week.

Sunday, February 8: Celebrating Our Parish!

Catholic Schools Week Mass at 10:30 a.m. 

We ask all families to attend the 10:30 a.m. Mass. Students are asked to wear their winter uniform, and parents are asked to dress in blue and gold!

Monday, February 9th: Celebrating Our Community

CSW Activities: Super Bowl of Cereal Challenge. We will be collecting cereal for the food pantries in Alamance County. Cereal will be collected all week. As an incentive, SAFE, an organization that helps the food pantries in Alamance County, will host a pizza party for the class in each participating school that donates the most cereal boxes during the collection week. They will also recognize the top three donor schools with a special plaque.

Tuesday, February 10th: Celebrating Our Students and Family

Spirit Week Theme: PJ Day

CSW Activities: Each class will have ice cream and age-appropriate games or activities. 

No homework

BSS will present a gift to each family.

Blessed Sacrament School is a member of PECSAA (Piedmont Elementary Catholic School Athletic Association). For most sports, students from 5th-8th grade are eligible to participate.  

 Track is open to K-8th grade.

2026-2027 Tuition Rates Published!

Please review the 2026-2027 Tuition Rates for the upcoming school year, and there will be no increase in tuition! If you believe that your family will need a scholarship, please apply for an NC Opportunity Scholarship, which will open applications for new families on February 2nd, 2026. Enrollment Timeline for the 2026-2027 School Year

CLICK HERE to access the BSS enrollment timeline we will follow this Spring. Our admissions office will begin sending re-enrollment agreements to families who usually do not apply for a scholarship next week. Families with a scholarship will receive their re-enrollment agreement starting the first week of February. If your family is adding a sibling, please notify Mr. Rico so he can update your contract and reserve a seat for the new student in the class roster for the upcoming school year. Remember, all new students must apply to our school and submit a copy of their birth certificate, immunization records, and baptismal certificate if the family is Catholic. You can contact Mr. Rico at admissions@bssknights.org for any questions.

Apply for Scholarship Opportunities

The NC Opportunity Scholarship will open up for new families on Monday, February 2nd. If your family is renewing the scholarship, you will start to receive the Spring endorsement requests that your child(dren) is/are attending BSS in the coming weeks, and then they will ask you to renew the scholarship for the upcoming school year. Do not forget to request a new scholarship for an enrolling K-8 sibling.

Si su familia ya cuenta con esta beca, comenzará a recibir en las próximas semanas las solicitudes de confirmación de asistencia de su(s) hijo(s) a BSS para el semestre de primavera, y posteriormente se le solicitará que renueve la beca para el próximo año escolar. On February 1, 2026, the 2026-2027 application for the African American and Native American Ancestry Tuition Assistance will be available. This scholarship program is now being administered by the Diocese of Raleigh Office of Education. El 1 de febrero de 2026 estará disponible la solicitud para el programa de ayuda financiera para la matrícula destinado a estudiantes de ascendencia afroamericana e indígena para el año académico 2026-2027. Catholic school students (Preschool-12th grade) of African Ancestry and Native American heritage in the Diocese of Raleigh are eligible to apply for tuition assistance beginning February 1, 2026. The assistance awards are funded by parish second collection donations and a grant from the Black and Indian Mission Office, founded by the Catholic bishops of the United States. Los estudiantes de escuelas católicas (desde preescolar hasta el 12.º grado) de ascendencia africana y nativa americana en la Diócesis de Raleigh pueden solicitar ayuda financiera para la matrícula a partir del 1 de febrero de 2026. Middle School Fieldtrips 2026!

PE Uniforms:

You can still purchase PE uniforms locally at Graham Sporting Goods. They have yellow PE shirts, solid sweatpants, and zip-up jackets. You do NOT have to get the logo on the sweatpants, but it must be on the jacket and sweatshirt.

PE pants need to be solid navy. There should not be any lines down the sides or decals on them.
