This morning, on Friday, September 19th, we celebrated our 8th-grade Commissioning Service. Our 8th & 5th graders were commissioned as our school's servant leaders for the school year.

Blessed Sacrament School students learn to care for others, seek leadership opportunities, and provide service to others. The student servant leadership model ensures that our 8th graders are prepared to be leaders here at BSS and later, in their future schools and communities. 

Coach Aleem spoke to our students about who a servant leader is and the blueprint they should follow. Pairing older students with younger ones is an experience that we find successfully builds leadership and a sense of community. Congratulations, eighth-grade class of 2026 & our fifth graders!💙💛📿🙏

STEAMM Buddies

Last Wednesday, September 17th, our middle school students came to the main campus for their weekly STEAMM Buddies time with our elementary school students. This week the students worked on their self-portraits. It was onderful to see all of our students in one bulding, working together. Great job, Knights!💙💛

Day Camp(s) Sign Ups!

We will have three Day Camps this school year when school is out. You can use the following form to sign your children up for Day Camp on September 26, November 24, and November 25, 2025. The price is $40.00 per camper per day.

Active Shooter Civilian Response Meeting

Officer M. Juarez from the Burlington Police Department came to talk to our teachers and staff last Wednesday, September 17th, about a Civilian Response to an Active Shooter Incident to gain more knowledge about things we can all do to have a more protected environment for our school community. Dine Out Night-Burlington Beer Works

Tuesday night is now School Night at Bulrington Beer Works. 10% of our food sales generated during dinner service will be dedicated to a school located in Alamance County, and next Tuesday, September 23rd, will be Blessed Sacrament School Night! Dear BSS families, please come out and support!

Esperanza Festival 2025

Blessed Sacrament School invites you to the Esperanza Festival 2025! It will take place on Sunday, September 28, 2025, in Downtown Graham, NC, from 12:00 - 8:00 pm. This is a family-friendly event where everyone can enjoy music, food, dances, and tabled community resources for families. ¡No te lo pierdas!

Fall Ballet at BSS/Clases de Ballet este Otoño en BSS

Once again, Miss Jenny and her Le Petit Ballet Co. are coming back to Blessed Sacrament School for after-school ballet dance classes. The 12-week ballet sessions will begin on September 17th and are open to all students, ages PreK through 2nd grade, for both girls and boys. Students who register can stay for free in our after-school care program until their ballet classes begin right at 3:00 - 3:45 pm.

Una vez más, la Srta. Jenny y su compañía de ballet Le Petit Ballet regresan a la Escuela Santísimo Sacramento para clases de ballet extraescolares. Las sesiones de ballet de 12 semanas comenzarán el 17 de septiembre y están abiertas a todos los estudiantes, desde preescolar hasta segundo grado, tanto para niñas como para niños. Los estudiantes que se apunten podrán quedarse en el afterschool care gratis! La clase corre de 3:00-3:45pm los miércoles.

Middle School Temporary Drop Off and Dismissal Procedures

Due to heavy rains, our middle school parking lot is not finished yet. We pray for the rains to subside as we start our school year. We hope that our parking lot will be finished in the coming month. We will keep you updated of the construction progress.

If you have a child attending 6th, 7th, or 8th grade, please drop off at the back parking lot of the middle school campus. To prevent a traffic bottleneck on S Fisher St, please come to the middle school campus via W Davis St. Here is our temporary drop-off route for middle school families:

For Dismissal, First Presbyterian Church is so kind to allow us to use their parking lot as part of our dismissal route. Please access it via W 5th St, where the Women's Resource Center/Meals on Wheels entrance is, and follow the parking lot until you see one of our teachers to stop. Then, we will let 4-5 cars enter our back parking lot at a time to pick up students, and then you will make a right on Maple Ave., and exit via W Davis St. Here is a map of the route for your reference:

PE Uniforms:

You can still purchase PE uniforms locally at Graham Sporting Goods. They have yellow PE shirts, solid sweatpants, and zip-up jackets. You do NOT have to get the logo on the sweatpants, but it must be on the jacket and sweatshirt.

PE pants need to be solid navy. There should not be any lines down the sides or decals on them.
