We welcome Fr. Vincent as our new Pastor!

The staff of Blessed Sacrament School was welcomed back early last week at Mass with Father Vincent! We are all looking forward to a wonderful 2022-2023 school year! 💛💙
Thank You Parents for Helping! We love you!

Welcome, BSS Class of 2023!

We welcome our graduating class of 2023 this year! We are looking forward to having them commissioned as Servant Leaders of our school next Friday, September 2nd at 11 am at Our Lady of the Angels Center (408 W Davis St., Burlington, NC). 8th-grade parents are welcome to attend! 1st-8th students will attend.
Rest in Peace Joey Orejan, we will miss you!

The Blessed Sacrament community is deeply saddened by the loss of former graduate, Joey Orejan. Joey attended BSS for eleven years, starting at the age of three and graduating in 2016. Joey was funny, helpful, and kind. Whether it was in the classroom, on the soccer and softball field, on the basketball court, backstage, or in the church, Joey exemplified the tenet of our Knight Honor Code, “Live a life of service”. As an eighth grader, Joey took great pride in having been given the responsibility of polishing and caring for the chalice.
The family has always been greatly supportive of our school. As a member of the Knights of Columbus, Joey’s father, Jaime, volunteered in many capacities, including as a coach and substitute teacher for many years. His older brother, Jay, also graduated from BSS in 2014. Those of us who knew and taught Joey will always remember his generous spirit and warm smile. Please keep his family, Elizabeth, Jaime and Jay in your prayers.
-With love from the BSS Family
Drop-off & Dismissal Procedures

Dear Parents,

Please remember that at 3:00 o’clock dismissal for all students (Little Knights-8th) you need to stay in your car and follow the pick-up line. If you arrive after 3:25, your children will be taken to afterschool.

Do not park in the parking lot or on the other side of the street (unless you have a child in the Little Knights classes). If we all follow procedures, the car line will move faster and less upset parents who are following the dismissal procedures.

Please, follow the car line when dropping off (K-8th)in the morning. You can drop off your child(ren) as early as 7:15 am. They must be in the building by 7:45am-after that, the students will be marked as tardy.

Little Knights Parents:
Noon pick-up will now be at the side door closest to the Little Knights playground.

Parents will enter the building at the side entrance closest to the Little Knights Playground. This change will help parents easily reach the Little Knights classroom and avoid any confusion as to who is entering our building each day. The morning routine will be as follows:

1) All Preschool and PreK students should be walked into the building through the side door closest to the Little Knights playground. (Doors will open at 7:15am)

2) All parents must sign in their child at the table outside of the PreK classroom. While you sign in your child, encourage your child to complete their jobs (i.e., hang their backpack, place snacks and lunch in appropriate places, etc.).

3) After the student has completed their jobs, please escort your student to the class (playground or in the classroom depending on the weather). Students should always be left with a supervising staff member and never left in a room or playground alone.

4) A staff member will be in the classroom or hall to talk to parents and answer any questions you might have.

Dates to Note:

September 2nd is a 1 pm Early Dismissal. PreK and Preschool students will eat lunch and be dismissed prior to naptime.

Thank you for your cooperation.

Queridos padres,

Padres de Los Little Knights:
