It's Beginning to Look a lot Like Christmas🎄

It is hard to believe that we are already in December, just weeks away from our Christmas Break. At Blessed Sacrament School, our hallways are adorned with Christmas Trees, ornaments, and our two elves on a Shelf have returned from the North Pole to inform Santa whether any of our students have been behaving well or poorly.

We have numerous activities scheduled for the next two weeks, so keep an eye out for newsletters and our main calendar.

Information about Inclement Weather

We hope that our families and community are safe from the freezing rain that went through our area this Friday, December 5. Blessed Sacrament School operated at a 2-hour delay this morning. Just a friendly reminder in case of school closures or delays due to inclement weather. This information can be found on page 9 of our Parent Student Community Handbook.

BSS does not follow the ABSS directives.

Decisions for delays/closures are made by 6:00 am.
If school is delayed/closed, you will receive a phone call from Option C (with the school number-570-0019), an email, and a text. The announcement will also be posted on our Facebook page and on TV channels-WFMY-Channel 2 and WGHP-Fox 8.
If you do not receive any message, BSS will operate on regular time.

As always, if the decision is to open school, you need to decide what is best for your family.

Bishop McGuinness Catholic High School to Visit BSS!

On Wednesday, December 10, from 2:00 to 4:00 pm, the Director of Admissions at Bishop McGuinness Catholic High School will visit Blessed Sacrament Middle School to assist all 8th-grade families with their high school enrollment applications. If you or your child is interested, please come! She will be at the middle school SmartLab (2nd floor). All middle school families are welcome to come and find out more about Bishop.

Villain Walk Dates

Cristo Rey Research Triangle Catholic High School is Coming to BSS Too!

Next Wednesday, December 10, at 2:00 pm, the Director of Admissions at Cristo Rey Research Triangle High School will be coming to BSS to proctor the HSPT placement test for the students who applied. If your child is one of these students, please make sure they stay after school to take the test. If you are a middle school family and would like more information about this school located in Durham, NC, please come! They will be at BSS until around 4:00 pm.

Blessed Sacrament School is a member of PECSAA (Piedmont Elementary Catholic School Athletic Association). For most sports, students from 5th-8th grade are eligible to participate.

Track is open to K-8th grade.

Middle School Fieldtrips 2026!

PE Uniforms:

You can still purchase PE uniforms locally at Graham Sporting Goods. They have yellow PE shirts, solid sweatpants, and zip-up jackets. You do NOT have to get the logo on the sweatpants, but it must be on the jacket and sweatshirt.

PE pants need to be solid navy. There should not be any lines down the sides or decals on them.
