The mornings are colder, and leaves are changing color, signaling the arrival of Fall. The main campus hallways are decorated in Fall colors. Many activities are planned for the Knights this season, including Oktoberfest on Saturday, October 25th, and Halloween Parties at the end of the month. 🍺🥨🎃

Mass with Fr. Jose

This morning, October 25th, we celebrated mass with Fr. Jose, who spoke to our students bout St. Ignatius of Antioch, who was mauled to death by lions and became a martyr for the church back in the year 107 A.D in Rome. “I am the wheat of the Lord,” he had declared, before facing them. “I must be ground by the teeth of these beasts to be made the pure bread of Christ.” -catholicnewsagency.com

Winter Uniform Sawp Shop Sale-Tomorrow!

Mark your calendars, as we will be transitioning into Winter Uniforms on Monday, November 3rd. We will be having a Uniform Swap Shop Sale tomorrow, Saturday, October 18th, from 9 am until Noon at our main campus store. Access via the parking lot. CLICK HERE to access our Uniform Guidelines. Bring in items that your child no longer wears to swap them out for new ones from our gently used items.

National Junior Honor Society Induction Ceremony

Last Tuesday, October 14, we celebrated our NJHS Induction Ceremony. Students who are invited to join must excel in academics and embody the 5 pillars of Scholarship, Service, Leadership, Character & Citizenship. Fr. Albert was the speaker for the service and talked to our students about the importance of preparing, planning, reading, and overall educating themselves for the future. Thank you, Fr. Albert, for sharing your story and speaking to them!

Johnny Appleseed Day!

This morning, Friday, October 17th, our Kindergraten students, along with their STEAMM 7th Grade Buddies, celebrated Johnny Appleseed Day with different types of apple activities! See pictures below of their day.

Pink Out Day!💓🌸🌷

Last Thursday, October 16th, we celebrated Pink Out Day! Students were asked to wear something pink in honor of Breast Cancer Awareness Month and to bring in $1.00 to support the cause. All funds collected will be donated to an Imaging Center in Burlington. Here are some pictures!

Author Jonathan Miller Visits BSS!

Last Wednesday, October 15, 2025, Jonathan Miller, author of The Adventures of Sammy the Wonder Dachshund!, came to visit Blessed Sacrament Elementary School and talked to our students about his books and illustrations. Our students had lots of questions. All students had an opportunity to buy one of Mr. Miller's books.

Original Works Artwork

We have partnered with Original Works to offer a very special opportunity for you to purchase a beautiful product featuring your child's artwork! These items make unique gifts and collectibles to enjoy for years to come, like magnets, mugs, tote bags, and more! You should have received the order form with your unique student code in your Yellow Folders this week. The deadline is October 28th, and a portion of the proceeds will benefit BSS. Oktoberfest will take place on Saturday, October 25th! This is a huge event that we host every year, and it is fun for the entire family! Please consider volunteering some of your time so we can make this night one to remember! You can sign up to decorate your trunk for our Trunk-or-Treat, bring in items for our bake sale, or help with different events throughout the night. Middle School Fieldtrips 2026!

Our 8th-grade students will have an opportunity to travel to Lancaster and Hershey, PA, which will take place on May 7-9, 2026. CLICK HERE to access the draft itinerary for the 8th-grade trip.

Blessed Sacrament School is a member of PECSAA (Piedmont Elementary Catholic School Athletic Association). For most sports, students from 5th-8th grade are eligible to participate.

Track is open to K-8th grade.

We will have three Day Camps this school year when school is out. You can use the following form to sign your children up for Day Camp on November 24 and November 25, 2025. The price is $40.00 per camper per day.

You can pay online or use the "Pay by Check Option" if you would rather pay in cash/check in person at the main office.

PE Uniforms:

You can still purchase PE uniforms locally at Graham Sporting Goods. They have yellow PE shirts, solid sweatpants, and zip-up jackets. You do NOT have to get the logo on the sweatpants, but it must be on the jacket and sweatshirt.

PE pants need to be solid navy. There should not be any lines down the sides or decals on them.
