On Thursday, April 16, we brought all our middle school students to the First Horizon Greensboro Coliseum for a school day game featuring the Greensboro Gargoyles against the Norfolk Admirals. For many of our students, it was their first time attending a hockey game, making this experience truly special. Here are some photos from the event. 💙💛

Field Day Shirt Contest Next Week!

The week of April 20-April 24- Field Day Design Entries-Due Friday, April 24

Field Day T-Shirt Design Contest Rules:

1. All designs are due on Friday, April 24.
2. Designs must include Blessed Sacrament School (not BSS) and the year 2025-2026 or 25-26.
3. The design must be hand-drawn, not computer-generated, and outlined with black Sharpie.
4. Lightly in pencil, please put the child’s name on the back of the entry and turn it into the elementary or MS office.
5. Designs will be voted on Wednesday, April 29.

5th Grade DARE at the Park

On Thursday, April 16, our 5th-grade students made their way to Burlington City Park for the D.A.R.E. (Drug Abuse Resistance Education) Days in the Park event in Burlington, NC. This annual gathering is for all fifth graders in Alamance County who have completed the D.A.R.E. program, and it includes exciting field day activities such as kickball, dancing, and games organized by the Burlington Police Department. The event is a celebration of student accomplishments with enjoyable, supervised outdoor fun. Here are some photos of our students. Well done, Knights!

Little Knights go to Willowbrook Park

Today, Friday, April 17, our Little Knights classes did a walking field trip to the Burlington Arboretum at Willowbrook Park and had a lot of fun! Thank you for sharing your children with us. See here some pictures of their day.

Knights of Summer Camp 2026 Registration Open!

Campers will do a myriad of activities based on the week's theme. Going beyond just arts and crafts, children will be able to get hands-on experience with various animals and do a deep dive into their differing environments. Knights of Summer Camp is available for children aged 3- rising 8th grade. Before and after camp care will be available.

The camp will run from June 8 - July 31, 2025. The camp will close for a week from June 29 - July 3.

The NC Opportunity Scholarship will open up for new families until funds run out. If your family is renewing the scholarship, please do not miss their deadlines. Do not forget to request a new scholarship for an enrolling K-8 sibling.

Please review the 2026-2027 Tuition Rates for the upcoming school year, and there will be no increase in tuition! If you believe that your family will need a scholarship, please apply for an NC Opportunity Scholarship, which will open applications for new families on February 2nd, 2026. Enrollment Timeline for the 2026-2027 School Year

CLICK HERE to access the BSS enrollment timeline we will follow this Spring. Our admissions office will begin sending re-enrollment agreements to families who usually do not apply for a scholarship next week. Families with a scholarship will receive their re-enrollment agreement starting the first week of February. If your family is adding a sibling, please notify Mr. Rico so he can update your contract and reserve a seat for the new student in the class roster for the upcoming school year. Remember, all new students must apply to our school and submit a copy of their birth certificate, immunization records, and baptismal certificate if the family is Catholic. You can contact Mr. Rico at admissions@bssknights.org for any questions.

Elementary School Parking

Just a friendly reminder: If you're late dropping off your child at 515 Hillcrest Ave. Campus, please use our parking lot and walk your child to the entrance. The Burlington Police Department has started issuing parking tickets for vehicles parked after 7:45 am. Hillcrest Avenue is now included in the ABSS School route, and we must keep the street clear since they cannot navigate around your parked vehicle.

If you're coming to drop off lunch, kindly park in our parking lot or across the street from our Elementary School Campus, ensuring you do not block any driveways. The trash truck cannot pass through if your car is parked there during lunch, and you risk receiving a parking ticket as well.

Estacionamiento de la Escuela Primaria

Un recordatorio amistoso: si llega tarde dejando a su hijo/a en el campus de 515 Hillcrest Ave., por favor use nuestro estacionamiento y acompáñelo/a hasta la entrada. El Departamento de Policía de Burlington ha comenzado a emitir multas de estacionamiento para vehículos estacionados después de las 7:45 a. m. Hillcrest Avenue ahora forma parte de la ruta escolar de ABSS y debemos mantener la calle despejada, ya que no pueden sortear su vehículo estacionado.

Middle School Fieldtrips 2026!

• Our 8th-grade students will have an opportunity to travel to Lancaster and Hershey, PA, which will take place on May 7-9, 2026. CLICK HERE to access the draft itinerary for the 8th-grade trip.

PE Uniforms:

You can still purchase PE uniforms locally at Graham Sporting Goods. They have yellow PE shirts, solid sweatpants, and zip-up jackets. You do NOT have to get the logo on the sweatpants, but it must be on the jacket and sweatshirt.

PE pants need to be solid navy. There should not be any lines down the sides or decals on them.
