Role Models Have No Minimum Age Requirement
Don't let anyone look down on you because you are young, but set an example for the believers in speech, in conduct, in love, in faith and in purity. – I Timothy 4:12
The best advice I can give to high school graduates heading off to college — or to work, or the military — is very simple: "who you hang out with will largely determine your values and choices." I have seen research that gives the statistical support for that conclusion. The importance of positive friendships starts in elementary school and only grows through middle and high school and beyond. It seems that high school students often listen more carefully to peers and other adults than parents. Parents and teachers — let's challenge our students at all ages to seek to be the role model that Paul described to young Timothy. Positive student role models have significant impact on others, and often a student must rise above negative peer pressure to be that model. Are you encouraging your children to be that positive role model?

Steve Dill
In order to help us continue to equip students to impact the world for Christ and become effective student leaders, we have contracted with a company to survey current families to help guide our leadership and improve what we do. You will receive an email from Dr. Dill tomorrow with a link to this confidential survey. Parent respondents will not be identified. The results will be tabulated independently by our consultant and presented to the school's leadership. This survey will take about 15 minutes to complete. Your participation and feedback are very important to us. Thank you for helping leadership to strengthen King's!
Running of the Knights
Wednesday, May 7 | Rain Date: May 8 | TKCS
On Wednesday, May 7, 2025, the Parent Teacher Fellowship will sponsor Running of the Knights, a fun event to raise $50,000. Students from PreK through 12th grade will walk and/or jog around the school during a 40-minute period. Each student will raise funds by asking sponsors to contribute a tax-deductible donation to The King's Christian School. This year, we are raising money for more gymnasium enhancements such as new flooring, bleachers, and repainting to match our school colors, which will benefit the entire school. The amount raised will determine how many improvements can be made.
Sponsoring is easy. Visit our fundraising page on 99Pledges and enter the student's name in the search box. Any size donation helps! Share the link with family and friends and on social media to encourage them to support your student and our school!
Families are welcome to come out and cheer on the runners during the event. Prizes will be awarded for participation as well as for students who raise the most money. Snack prizes will be awarded for participation during the fundraiser. Questions or food allergy concerns, email [ptf@tkcs.org].
