From the Head of School

Don’t judge by his appearance or height, for I have rejected him. The Lord doesn’t see things the way you see them. People judge by outward appearance, but the Lord looks at the heart. – I Samuel 16:7

Hopefully you had a chance to see Cinderella this past weekend — a tremendous performance of the Rogers and Hammerstein's musical. Over 70 King's students — on stage and back stage — prepared over several months for this, assisted by a dedicated team of King's faculty and parents. I came to the play with a mental picture that the prince became enthralled with Cinderella because of her physical beauty. But stated very well in the introduction in the program, the real story is that the prince was "always being captivated by Cinderella's kindness, humility and inner beauty above her outward appearance.....True worth comes from character and faith, not external beauty." If you missed that introductory paragraph, you may have missed the perspective that King's brings to every activity: thinking about theatre or athletics or history or math from God's perspective. Thank you, directors, actors, and support teams, for an outstanding performance!

TKCS Parent Survey

When we return from Easter break, you will receive a survey from TKCS in your email. This survey is from Enrollment Catalyst, a firm that we used last year to gather parent feedback on many aspects of King's. This is a very important survey for King's. The administration and the board do a very careful analysis of the data and the comments that come in through this survey. It is totally anonymous and we need your participation. The final report we receive will include separate summaries of elementary, middle and high school. A high level of participation is needed for accurate analysis. Parents will receive an overall summary of survey themes before the school year ends. Thank you for helping school leadership continue to follow the Lord's guidance in preparing our students to impact the world for Christ. Thank you for your continued partnership!

Running of the Knights Fundraiser
Wednesday, May 7 | Rain Date: May 8 | TKCS

On Wednesday, May 7, 2025, the Parent Teacher Fellowship will sponsor Running of the Knights, a fun event to raise $50,000. Students from PreK through 12th grade will walk and/or jog around the school during a 40-minute period. Each student will raise funds by asking sponsors to contribute a tax-deductible donation to The King's Christian School. This year, we are raising money for more gymnasium enhancements such as new flooring, bleachers, and repainting to match our school colors, which will benefit the entire school. The amount raised will determine how many improvements can be made.

Sponsoring is easy. Visit our fundraising page on 99Pledges and enter the student's name in the search box. Any size donation helps! Share the link with family and friends and on social media to encourage them to support your student and our school!

Families are welcome to come out and cheer on the runners during the event. Prizes will be awarded for participation as well as for students who raise the most money. Snack prizes will be awarded for participation during the fundraiser. Questions or food allergy concerns, email [ptf@tkcs.org].
