From the Head of School
Intelligent people are always ready to learn. Their ears are open for knowledge. – Proverbs 18:15, NLT

The Bible tells us to be quick to listen and slow to speak (James 1:19) and to "in humility count others more significant than yourselves" (Philippians 2:3). Wise people bring humility to every conversation, seeking to learn and understand. However, in my mind I am often preparing a response rather than carefully listening to truly understand a different perspective. In our faculty discussions this week, we are talking about the importance of respecting diverse perspectives. Even though everyone in the King's community has a commitment to Jesus Christ as Lord, that does not mean we agree about everything. One of the benefits of an interdenominational school like King's is that we can grow in understanding differing perspectives on many issues within the body of Christ. But as believers, our foundation is the Word of God, not our own opinions. May we build a stronger King's community on the right foundation as we respectfully listen to our brothers and sisters in Christ.

Head of School
Steve Dill

Welcome, Dr. Ray Casey!

As communicated to the school family last week, the Board of Directors has hired Dr. Ray Casey to be the next Head of School. Dr. Dill will continue in his Head of School role until June 30, and Dr. Casey officially begins on July 1. However, he will be on campus before his official start date and Dr. Dill will continue to support Dr. Casey in any way needed after July 1. We are grateful that the Lord has made it clear that Dr. Casey is the one to fill this important role going forward.

You can read the full announcement from the TKCS Board President, Jorge Arroyo, [here].

Running of the Knights Fundraiser
Wednesday, May 7 | Rain Date: May 8 | TKCS

On Wednesday, May 7, 2025, the Parent Teacher Fellowship will sponsor Running of the Knights, a fun event to raise $50,000. This year, we are raising money for more gymnasium enhancements such as new flooring, bleachers, and repainting to match our school colors, which will benefit the entire school. The amount raised will determine how many improvements can be made. Students from PreK through 12th grade will walk and/or jog around the school during a 40-minute period. Each student will raise funds by asking sponsors to contribute a tax-deductible donation to The King's Christian School.

Sponsoring is easy. Visit our fundraising page on 99Pledges and enter the student's name in the search box. Any size donation helps! Share the link with family and friends and on social media to encourage them to support your student and our school!

Families are welcome to come out and cheer on the runners during the event. Prizes will be awarded for participation as well as for students who raise the most money. Snack prizes will be awarded for participation during the fundraiser. Questions or food allergy concerns, email [ptf@tkcs.org].
