As we close out another school year, our administrative team would like to thank you for your partnership. It cannot be said enough that the role a parent/guardian plays is critical in the academic and social development of an adolescent. Contacting teachers, attending events, and talking about school at home are all practices that encourage healthy relationships. In whatever ways you modeled or encouraged this mindset, your child benefited.
Enjoy the summer months. Encourage your child to read, write, and even mathematically calculate their summer expenses! Most importantly, do not forget to embrace the gift of time.
Thank you, again, Knight Families!

Parking Permits 26-27
Student Parking Permits will be available for the 25-26 school year using a lottery system. Beginning June 2nd students should complete the Google Form. This will enter the student into the lottery for a permit. Students/Families will be notified on July 1st as to whether they have the opportunity to purchase a parking permit. Students will be allowed to begin picking up their permits beginning July 8th.
All student parking will be in the NEW Student Lot located on the East side of the high school (formerly Lot C and staff parking).
Students will no longer be assigned a specific spot in the Student Lot. However, students MUST have a permit to park in the Student Lot. Our goal is to provide safe parking on our campus where both your child and vehicle are safe while they attend school.
Please note the following if you are interested in purchasing a parking permit:
- A student may not have outstanding Student Fees if they would like to purchase a parking permit. Outstanding fees need to be paid or have a payment plan in place with the OCHS book keeper.
- Students holding parking permits are subject to Random Drug Testing (see policy and consent form below). Students and parents are required to sign the consent form AND the medical release form before being issued a permit.
- Early Graduates will have the opportunity to purchase a Semester 1 ONLY Parking Permit. The cost of a one semester permit is $70. Full year permits are $140.
- Students must have a current, valid driver’s license in order to purchase a permit. Permits will not be sold to students who only have a temporary permit.
- Please review the Rules and Regulations for parking in a school lot.
- There are NOT enough student parking spaces to accommodate ALL student drivers. Street parking is available on most surrounding streets. Parking in the lots of area businesses (Pick n’ Save, OC Community Center, etc.) is NOT suggested. These businesses have the right to tow unauthorized cars parked in their lots.
- Students who park in lots on campus without a permit will be subject to a $75 parking ticket and their car could be towed.

Incoming freshmen will be issued chromebooks during the picture days in August.
-
All other students will keep their chromebooks for the summer, unless they are damaged. - - Damaged chromebooks will be turned in for repair over the summer. They can be dropped off in the 10-12 Office with a note stating the issue taped to the chromebook. NOTE: Office hours Mon.-Th. 7am-4pm. Due to limited staff, the office asks that parents/students call ahead to make sure someone is in the office. Once the chromebook is repaired an email will be sent to a parent or guardian with directions as to where to pick it up.

Direct Admission to UW Systems Universities
- Oak Creek High School students will have the opportunity to use a direct admission process to many of the UW System Schools. Direct Admission would allow students to be accepted into specific UW System Schools based on academic information at the end of the junior year. Students who have been accepted into a UW school through the Direct Admission process do NOT need to complete the traditional application process.
- Current Junior families had the ability to Opt In to the program last July. Students will be notified in early August regarding the schools that have accepted them for Direct Admission.
- Current Sophomore families will indicate during the Annual Check-in Process during the summer whether they would like to Opt in or out of the process.
-
For more information on Direct Admissions please review the UW Direct Admissions Flyer
- Direct Admissions Flyer - Spanish
- UW Madison, UW LaCrosse, and UW EauClaire do NOT participate in the Direct Admissions Process with the UW system.
-

Summer Learning with IXL
Did you know your student has access to IXL all summer long? IXL is an online program that provides personalized practice in reading, writing, and math. It is intended to be a small, but habitual practice tool to help students build skills at their own pace.
Just 15-20 minutes a few times a week can make a BIG difference in keeping skills sharp and preventing summer learning loss. Students can log in through Clever and continue working on their recommended skill plans or choose areas they’d like to strengthen!
Looking for an easy way to get started?
IXL offers a Summer Boost Skill Plan, which lays out four weeks of quick, focused practice spotlights that highlight essential skills for each grade level. It’s designed to be manageable and effective, giving students a clear “day-by-day” path instead of having to choose skills on their own.
For example, rising 9th graders might work on skills like identifying synonyms, analyzing counterclaims, drawing inferences, or converting between decimals and fractions --all by taking a few minutes to tackle some of these short, daily practice sessions.
Encourage your student to stick with it this summer. Small, consistent practice leads to big growth!

Reporting Attendance through the Parent Portal - Reminders and Clarification
Students who are leaving school due to illness are required to go to the Health Room to be checked out. Parents cannot request a student to leave school due to illness through the Parent Portal. If your child calls you to leave school due to illness, they should report to the Health Room. Requests by parents to release students early due to illness through Infinite Campus will be denied.
**If parents need to provide a short notice for a student to leave early, best practice is for the parent to call the Attendance Office rather than using the Parent Portal in Infinite Campus.**
Locker Clean-Out
All hall lockers must be completely emptied immediately after the last exam on Thursday, June 11, 2026. If an emergency or absence occurs, please call the school to ensure the safety of your belongings. The school is not responsible for any items left in lockers after this time. Immediately after the last exam on the final day of school in the Spring, lockers are cleaned by the maintenance staff and items remaining are either donated to charity or disposed of. Students (Sophomores and Juniors) returning in the Fall should leave their locks on their lockers (as shown in the picture) over the Summer.
- All Freshmen should take their locks home from the NGC and utilize them next year when they are at the 10-12 building.
- Graduating Seniors, clean your lockers out and take your locks home.
