E-Bike Safety Starts Here

The Lake Clarke Shores Police Department will be hosting an E-Bike Safety Workshop on Wednesday, May 20 at 5:30 p.m. at Town Hall.

As e-bikes continue to grow in popularity among both adults and children, they are increasingly being seen traveling at high speeds along neighborhood streets. With that comes an important reminder: e-bike riders are required to follow the same traffic laws as motor vehicles, including stopping at signs, yielding appropriately, and operating safely at all times.

This workshop will provide residents with essential information on how to safely and responsibly ride e-bikes within Lake Clarke Shores, helping protect both riders and the community. All residents are encouraged to attend.

A Regional Vision Takes Shape

The Spring 2026 edition of Shorelines Magazine, the official magazine of Lake Clarke Shores, is on its way to your mailbox within the next week or two.

This issue highlights exciting, never-before-taken steps the Town is pursuing to drive economic improvement and long-term prosperity—through strategic partnerships with surrounding municipalities.

You’ll also find your complete spring event calendar, making it easy to stay connected and plan for the season ahead. It’s a forward-looking edition filled with important updates and insights you won’t want to miss.

We've Made Progress. Let's Keep It Going

Residents are reminded that all bulk and vegetative waste must be placed in the swale at the paved edge of the right-of-way no earlier than 24 hours before scheduled collection and no later than 7:00 a.m. on pickup day. Leaving piles out for extended periods creates safety concerns, obstructs visibility, and negatively impacts the overall appearance of the community.

Additionally, any landscaper or lawn service provider hired by a resident is responsible for removing the waste they generate. This material should not be left at the curb for Town pickup.

With enforcement now in full effect, residents who do not comply will be subject to escalating fines. The Town urges everyone to follow the guidelines and do their part to maintain the high standards that make Lake Clarke Shores a desirable place to live.

Bringing Local Priorities to the Capital

This past month, Lake Clarke Shores Mayor Bridget Keating traveled to Washington, D.C., our nation’s capital, to advocate on behalf of the Town and its residents.

While attending the National League of Cities Conference, Mayor Keating took the opportunity to meet directly with federal representatives who serve the Lake Clarke Shores community.

During these meetings, she discussed key priorities for the Town and explored potential funding opportunities to support local initiatives.

Her participation in the conference, combined with direct outreach to elected officials, reflects an ongoing commitment to strengthening Lake Clarke Shores through advocacy, collaboration, and forward-thinking leadership.

Help Keep LCS Beautiful...and Maybe Win A Prize

Saturday, April 25 | 8:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m.

Pitch in with your neighbors and help keep Lake Clarke Shores looking its best at our annual Lake and Land Cleanup. Whether you are volunteering to earn community service hours or simply want to show pride in our Town, this is a meaningful and rewarding way to give back.

Volunteers will help tidy up both our waterways and neighborhood parks, making a visible difference in just a few hours of teamwork.

All supplies will be provided, including event T-shirts, trash bags, buckets, and gloves. Check-in begins at 8:00 a.m. at the Boat Ramp.

If you would like to register in advance, please email phernandez@lakeclarke.org to request a Volunteer Registration Form. Coffee and doughnuts will be available for participants.

Gift cards will be awarded to volunteers who collect the most trash by weight, discover the most unusual item, and gather the largest single item of the day.

For your safety and comfort, please wear closed-toe shoes and be sure to bring a hat and sunscreen.

This community effort is part of the Great American Cleanup and is coordinated in partnership with Keep Palm Beach County Beautiful, Inc. and the Solid Waste Authority.

Together, we can keep Lake Clarke Shores clean, green, and beautiful.

Bringing the Library to Lake Clarke Shores

The Palm Beach County Library System Bookmobile continues to make regular visits to Lake Clarke Shores, bringing books, materials, and library services directly to residents.

The Bookmobile typically visits twice a month—once during the second week and again during the fourth week—stopping at Lake Clarke Shores Town Hall at approximately 4:00 p.m. on its scheduled days.

Exact dates for April will be announced soon, so residents are encouraged to watch the Town’s website and social media channels for updates. The Bookmobile is a valuable resource for children, seniors, and anyone who may not be able to easily travel to a library branch.

From children’s books and popular novels to reference materials and library services, the Bookmobile makes it easier for everyone in the community to enjoy the benefits of their local library.

Help Is Just Three Numbers Away

When you or someone you know needs help, 211 Palm Beach and Treasure Coast is available 24/7 to provide free, confidential support. By simply dialing 2-1-1, residents can connect with trained specialists who offer immediate assistance for mental health concerns, including thoughts of suicide, as well as help with food, housing, and other essential services.

Whether facing a crisis or navigating everyday challenges, 211 makes it easy to access the right resources quickly. It’s a simple call that can make a meaningful difference—because no one in our community has to face difficult times alone.

2-1-1 Gives A Little Sunshine For Seniors

It also includes isolated family caregivers who are 18 or older caregiving for another adult family member.

A Summer Tradition Casts Off Again

A favorite summertime tradition is making its return to Lake Clarke Shores as Memorial Park once again becomes home to the Town’s annual Fishing Camp later this July.

Designed for kids ages 5 through 13, the weeklong program offers a fun and engaging way for young residents to spend their mornings outdoors while learning new skills.

Participants will be introduced to the basics of fishing, from identifying different types of fish to improving their casting and understanding how to stay safe around the water. Along the way, they’ll also gain a greater appreciation for the environment and the importance of protecting local waterways.

The program wraps up with a lighthearted fishing competition and awards presentation, giving campers a chance to put their new skills to the test and celebrate a week well spent. The camp runs July 27 through July 31 from 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m., with registration set at $155 for residents and $200 for non-residents. Space is limited, so families are encouraged to sign up early.
