Safety is Our Number One Priority

We want to thank everyone for their efforts earlier this week when two of our campuses, plus the iUniversity Prep facility, were affected by bomb threats. Our students and staff remained calm during this time and executed safe and swift evacuations from our buildings. We would also like to thank our local law enforcement for their action to ensure the safety of our students and staff.

We are committed to the safety of every student and staff member in GCISD and will continue to practice, review and refine our safety and security measures as safety is our top priority.

The most important things that we can all do are to build a strong sense of togetherness and pride in our schools, ensure our adults are building healthy relationships with students and be vigilant by reporting anything if it seems out of place. When we work together, we are Building Excellent Schools Together.

Each February we celebrate the value of Career and Technical Education and the successes of CTE students. Throughout February, GCISD will highlight its CTE program.
