"The LORD has done great things for us;
we are filled with joy."
~Psalm 126:3 ESV
| | |
Dear Ministry Partners,
Psalm 126:3 captures the heart of this ministry year. It is a declaration that does not ignore hardship but rises out of it. Israel sang these words after returning from captivity, remembering how God restored what seemed lost. Their joy was not shallow happiness but a deep, faith-filled recognition that God had worked powerfully in the midst of suffering.
For ESMI, this is our testimony as we reflect on 2025.
- In a nation facing crises, God continues to provide.
-
In a season when many organizations have withdrawn from Haiti, God has expanded His work through your partnership.
- In moments of uncertainty, God has opened doors we could never open ourselves.
- In the face of hunger, violence, and instability, God has allowed us to feed the hungry, disciple the next generation, train leaders, plant churches, and see thousands come to faith.
Just like the people of Israel, we look back and say with assurance: "The LORD has done great things for us."
And because of His faithfulness, your prayers and your partnership, "we are filled with joy."
Here are the 2025 highlights of ESMI's 4 Es: Evangelism, Education, Empathy and Economical Development.

EMPATHY: Meeting Physical Needs to Reach the Real Need- The Gospel
-
1.4 million people have been displaced according to a recent report from the International Organization of Migration. This is a 36% increase since the end of 2024.
- Gangs have expanded their control to the Centre and Artibonite departments/states which are north of Port-au-Prince.
-
Because of your partnership, ESMI constructed 16 2-bedroom apartments for the most vulnerable of displaced families, namely, women with children.
- These 16 apartments will be homes for more than 100 people.

Hunger on the Rise in Haiti
It's believed that by mid 2026, half of Haiti's population, 5.7 million people will experience acute hunger.
This is due to:
- Spread of gang violence disrupting aid
- Political instability
- Recent hurricane destroying crops
- Poor harvests
Thank you for your partnership and generosity. Together in 2025, ESMI distributed more than 3,500,000 meals.

Manna Pack Meals
In the past, ESMI was able to pick up these containers of manna pack meals in Port-au-Prince. Now, these are shipped to Cap-Haitien in the north, and then the long journey from the north to the southern part of the island. Cost of shipping and transportation have tripled. But your continued contribution made it possible in 2025.

Recent Hurricane Melissa Food Relief:
$25k Matching Fund Challenge Goal Met!
THANK YOU!
| | Team purchased food locally in bulk. | | Team made individual bags. | | Food packages delivered to churches for distribution. | | Team visited remote areas to distribute food and share the Gospel. | | |
Thank you for making it possible for our pastors to care for their congregations and communities.
A few Sundays ago, a farmer arrived at the Cavaillon church after losing his entire crop to Hurricane Melissa.
He was unsure where his next meal would come from and was overwhelmed with gratitude when he learned that food would be distributed after the service.

Jeremie's Medical Center
-
ESMI’s medical clinic in Jeremie continues to expand, thanks to generous donations of pharmaceuticals and medical supplies.
-
The clinic serves those with limited access to healthcare and is growing even more popular with its new pharmacy.
-
Dr. Michelove Mathieu, a recent medical school graduate, is already making an impact as a physician in her hometown of Jeremie.
To God be the glory!

ECONOMICAL DEVELOPMENT
-
ESMI’s chicken farm continues to grow stronger, providing both nourishment and meaningful employment for many families in the neighborhood.
- The clean‑water initiative is a vital resource in communities where waterborne illnesses are common.
-
Thanks to generous contributions, both the farm and the water business are making a significant impact.
