Happy Sunday, Shreya!,

I write this message buried under a whole foot of snow! We got the first snow of the year, and it's made me excited to stay warm inside and write some letters. I have a feeling that a lot of the LAI community has been doing just about the same as we have had a great first week of 2022. We need fewer than 800 letters to reach every senior that we serve in Canada! I think we can do this.

We also have a very special message to pass along! J. Miller is a Canadian senior who receives letters from LAI. He wanted us to let you know that...

"We are grateful for the work of your organization. 

I am one of the seniors who receive cards and letters. 

This wonderful project brings light to my days.  

Please know how much you mean to those of us who are recipients of your kindness.

Mr. Miller's words show just what an impact each letter you write makes. I'd like to thank you for writing to seniors just like him and bringing them a little joy.

Letters Against Isolation's First Board Meeting

This Wednesday, Letters Against Isolation held our first official board meeting! We discussed our goals for 2022, the new projects we will be pursuing in the next few months, and how we can serve more seniors more effectively. We want to keep you in the loop, so we're sharing the meeting minutes and About Me's for the board!

We've got so many exciting announcements coming in the next few weeks. A few big projects that we've been working on are almost ready for us to tell you about. Please keep an eye out on next week's newsletter for our first major project as a nonprofit!
