Spring Outreach Opportunity

From Bobby Caliendo
Minister of Outreach/Evangelism

Riverbend is sponsoring Movie Night for our community at the Ormond Beach Casements on Friday, April 5.

Festivities begin at 7 p.m. and the movie at 8. Invite your non-churched friends, neighbors and co-workers so they can have the opportunity to enjoy free popcorn, snow cones and face-painting.

We will be sharing the gospel and promoting Riverbend at the event.  We look forward to seeing you and your friends there!!

All Riverbenders are encouraged to participate

Sunday, March 31, at 6 p.m. in the Choir Room

The Elders of Riverbend are ready to recommend at least two new elders for church affirmation.  The first step of the congregation is to be present to learn what the two candidates (Brian Giaquinto and John Griffin) believe and practice and see them defend Scripture.

After this March 31 discussion, the church will provide a 30-day period for members to talk with them personally and express back to the current elders their support or rejection of the candidates.  If the new candidates are approved, a date will be set for the ordination (laying on of hands) of the candidates, after which they will begin to function as elders.

So I exhort the elders ... shepherd the flock of God that is among you ...

Buck James, Executive Director of Halifax Urban Ministries, and one of his volunteers were grateful for the 44 sets of towels donated recently by the Gospel Life Bible Fellowship Group.

The towels will be used at Hope Place, which provides a fresh start for families with children who have been displaced from their home by difficult circumstances.

Hope Place also provides a safe place for homeless, unaccompanied young adults (18-24) to live while pursuing an education.
