A Report From CrossRoads Leader Heyward Evans

Riverbend's CrossRoads (young adults) ministry recently attended the Cross for the Nations conference in Louisville, Ky.  It exists to see our generation live for the most loving cause in the universe: bringing people from every tribe, tongue and nation into the everlasting joy of knowing and worshipping Jesus.

CROSS 19, as it is called, was a perfect way to start our new year. Over 7,000 young people and their leaders gathered for the purpose of missions across the globe, and the role of the church to go and send. As Christians, we are all called to make disciples among the nations and the question we have to ask ourselves: "Am I called to go ... or hold the rope in my local church and send?"

It was a theology-filled event with excellent speakers, including John Piper and David Platt; Christ-exalting worship and fellowship among our group that sparked wonderful conversations about our great Savior.

Points to Ponder
Remember the English spelling/grammar rule: "i before e, except after c" ... What about this phrase, which someone sent in?

Except when your foreign neighbor Keith received eight counterfeit beige sleighs from feisty caffeinated weightlifters.

Weird, huh!
