Junior Achievement of North Central Ohio is seeking 11 volunteers to facilitate the JA Our Community program to 2nd grade students at Craddock Elementary School. Volunteers will be provided with a training and a kit of materials for the five lessons. For each lesson, there is a Volunteer Guide that provides talking points and detailed activity instructions. This program helps students learn about many aspects of a community: the variety of careers, how business and government jobs help a community, how taxation supports government services, voting, and the flow of money in an economy. No teaching experience is necessary! A teacher will be in the classroom to assist. This program will start the week of April 19th. Volunteers will get to pick five dates starting the week of April 19th that work for their schedule to come into the classroom.
