The National Press Club Journalism Institute started a reading group this spring for people who love journalism and books and want to discuss them both.

The group's next book is "An Ugly Truth: Inside Facebook's Battle for Domination" by New York Times reporters Sheera Frenkel and Cecilia Kang. We'll meet to discuss it starting on Thursday, August 12 from 6-7 p.m. ET. We'll continue our discussions on August 19 and 26, also at 6 p.m. ET. You can drop in just once or join every time.

The group is open to all, and we hope to bring together people with different perspectives to discuss what we learn about Facebook's role in misinformation, disinformation, and the disruption of news.
