Heritage Projects Show Star Power

The historic Bell Labs in Holmdel, New Jersey played a starring role in the AppleTV+ science fiction psychological thriller series Severance, which aired the Season 2 finale last week. Heritage listed the 2 million square foot building in the National Register of Historic Places and prepared Historic Tax Credit (HTC) applications to support its rehabilitation into Bell Works, an ambitious multi-use destination. PROJECT SPOTLIGHT

Making the Grim Glam in Texarkana

The Lofts at the Grim in Texarkana, Texas, is now a Certified Rehabilitation! Heritage Consulting Group helped the client secure state and federal HTCs for the conversion of the historic Hotel Grim, constructed in 1925, into affordable family housing. The project has been closely watched and celebrated by the local community, and is already a catalyst for reinvestment in Texarkana's historic downtown.

Congratulations to our client Texarkana Grim Housing Partners, LP. We enjoyed working with Cohen-Esrey and the Housing Authority of Texarkana on this project that not only preserves the rich history and architectural beauty of the building, but also breathes new life into the area by providing a welcoming and comfortable space for families to call home. With a focus on creating a supportive environment, the new development offers modern amenities while maintaining the charm of its past, as seen in the fully restored hotel lobby and the Palm Room, which now serves as an event space.
