A standout example of mid-century modern architecture, Inn Town Lofts has been transformed from a 1964 motor inn into vibrant affordable housing through the combined use of Historic and Low-Income Housing Tax Credits. Characterized by its clean lines, expansive window walls, geometric form, and modernist design, the building is an important example of the postwar architectural evolution of Lubbock, Texas. Heritage Consulting Group secured the property's listing in the National Register of Historic Places and guided the federal and state HTC processes, helping unlock critical sources of financing that made the rehabilitation possible. The project showcases how HTCs can preserve architecturally significant mid-century buildings while positioning them for a new chapter. |
