Constructed in 1956-57, the 655 Broadway Building in Denver was originally designed as leasable office space. The curtain wall design, featuring alternating rows of ribbon windows and aqua spandrel panels, make the building stand out as one of the city's most exceptional examples of the Modern Movement in architecture.
The Denver Housing Authority undertook a $22M renovation to convert the building into 96 affordable apartment units for seniors and disabled individuals. The building also includes 14 units to be used by unhoused patients from Denver Health as they transition after a hospital stay. Heritage is proud to have been a part of this transformative and impactful project.
