The City of Kannapolis is blossoming as small businesses move into the recently renovated spaces surrounding downtown and the Kannapolis Cannon Ballers prepare for their first season at the new Atrium Health Ballpark. Despite all the buzz surrounding the new businesses that are moving in and the spaces that are being revitalized, the City of Kannapolis isn't quite finished. There is more excitement to come.

The City of Concord was recognized for the second year in a row as a Tree City USA by the national Arbor Day Foundation. This recognition follows Concord’s continued commitment to effective urban forest management, and it is the second year the city has earned the Tree City USA designation.
