Celebrating 18 Years of CCEH

For 18 years, CCEH has worked alongside community partners, volunteers, donors, and advocates to help make safe, stable housing possible for everyone in our community.

We are deeply grateful to everyone who has contributed to this work along the way.

Our progress has always been a community effort and it would not be possible without you!

What Does It Take to Afford Rent in New Hampshire?

According to the National Low Income Housing Coalition’s 2026 Out of Reach report, a New Hampshire renter must earn $30.18 per hour to afford a modest one-bedroom apartment—or $39.24 per hour for a two-bedroom apartment. Both figures are significantly higher than the state’s average renter wage of $21.68.

These numbers help explain why so many of our neighbors face housing instability. When wages do not keep pace with rent, even one unexpected expense can place someone at risk of homelessness. Learn more about what these figures mean and how they connect to CCEH’s work in our latest blog post.

Resource Center Needs

As we move through August, the Resource Center continues to rely on everyday essentials to support our clients. Here are some of the items currently needed most:

Looking for another way to support the Resource Center? Our Amazon Wishlist is filled with the items our guests need most and is updated seasonally. This is a simple way to send supplies directly to CCEH.
