From Sidewalks to Stability: Mark's Journey Home

When Mark first came through the doors to CCEH's Resource Center, it was 7 degrees outside and he hadn't slept indoors for weeks. Mark had been homeless for nearly eight years.

At the Resource Center, Mark found more than basic services like coffee, laundry, and mail - he found people who saw him.

With your support during NH Gives, we can ensure that more people like Mark have a place to start over - and a place to call home.

Please mark your calendar and give generously during NH Gives: starting at 5pm on Tuesday, June 10 through 5pm on Wednesday, June 11.

6 South State Street is moving along!

Construction continues at 6 South State Street, and we look forward to sharing progress pictures and a save the date for a ribbon cutting in the near future. In the meantime, there are two very special ways you can get involved to help this project over the finish line:

CCEH still has tax credits available for businesses that pay taxes in New Hampshire. The credits can be applied against the Business Profits Tax, Business Enterprise Tax, or Insurance Premium Tax. The purchase of tax credits may also be considered a donation eligible for treatment as a state and federal charitable contribution.

NH businesses value this program which incentivizes public-private partnerships to fund local initiatives like 6 South State Street. By participating in the Tax Credit program, business's donations stay in their communities and help establish strong relationships with local nonprofits.

CCEH sponsor and CDFA tax credit purchaser Ledyard Bank representatives posed with CCEH staff to celebrate Ledyard's commitment to supporting community and economic development through the CDFA tax credit program.

We thank Ledyard and our other business partners who have purchased tax credits in support of 6 South State Street. Check them out and learn more about the project and CDFA tax credit opportunities.

Adopt-A-Home: Transform a Space. Change a Life.

Your business, group, or organization can help turn empty apartments into homes. By adopting an apartment for someone transitioning out of homelessness, you help furnish, decorate, and create a welcoming home - providing hope, dignity, and a fresh start.

  • Furnish a new apartment at 6 South State Street
  • Move in and decorate with your team
  • Support long-term, housing-first solutions
  • Strengthen your community impact

Each apartment should be furnished with the basics, either new or gently used items. CCEH will provide a full list of items for a one- or two-bedroom unit.

287 case management appointments were held during the month of April with our two case managers.

Bug Spray Needed!

All of this rain and warm weather has led to an infestation of mosquitos and ticks. It's really bad out there.

We are in need of bug and tick spray! Check out our other warm-weather needs on our website, or shop our wish lists at several big box stores.

Donate Items

We want to extend a sincere thank you to the hard workers from Nathan Wechsler & Co, Merrimack County Savings Bank, and NH Trust for spending their time with us during Granite United Way's Day of Caring on Friday, May 16. These folks did an incredible job scrubbing the Resource Center inside and out to ensure that the space was pristine for our clients. We are truly grateful for their enthusiasm, humor, and attention to detail!
