CCEH is “coming home” to 6 South State Street, where our Resource Center once stood. Soon, this space will provide safe, stable housing for eight individuals exiting homelessness—a critical step in addressing our city’s housing needs.
CCEH will provide wraparound supportive services to residents to ensure they break the cycle of homelessness and stay housed. This project is more than a building; it’s a new beginning.
Follow along as 6 South State Street enters its glow-up era

Thank you Mary Therese...
Wednesdays will never be the same at the Resource Center. After 16 years, our beloved volunteer Mary Therese is retiring from her RC mail duties and focusing on her health.
Mary T's compassion, kindness, and sense of humor will be dearly missed. We truly cannot fully express our sincere gratitude for her dedication to our work and to our guests.

Walk with Me: Stories from Concordians
In this new series, individuals living in Concord share their stories from their experiences with homelessness.
Here's a sneak peek at this month's Walk with Me article:
It's hard to have a social life when you're homeless. I was embarrassed and ashamed about what happened to me... I isolated myself and hid myself away, avoiding my friends until those relationships faded away... What kind of friend could I be with no money, no possessions, no job?

NH Senate approves funding for homelessness
The NH Senate approved a bill Thursday February 6 that would allocate $12 million per year in state funding to nonprofits providing services to homeless people, amid concerns that municipal budgets are strained and shelters are struggling.
Senate Bill 113 would dedicate money to the Department of Health and Human Services "for the purpose of contracting with nonprofits that provide a continuum of services to individuals and families who are experiencing homelessness." The bill dedicates an additional $3 million to the housing stabilization fund, which allows DHHS to contract with organizations "that provide eviction prevention and rehousing services" and allow those organizations to bill Medicaid for those services.

The members of the Greater Concord Interfaith Council, responding to the invitation to grow in the knowledge and love of our religious lives, affirm that what unites us is greater than what divides us. We work to create a respectful environment in which earnest people explore our religious diversity through common worship, mutual education, and community outreach. We trust that where there is conflict, people of faith can reach understanding and inspiration. We desire to provide leadership that encourages a humane and more public life. | |
