Volunteer Spotlight

For six years, volunteer Jim Schlosser has supported CCEH in many ways, from working with homelessness data to greeting guests at the Resource Center each Thursday morning.

In our latest Volunteer Spotlight, Jim reflects on what he’s learned about the complexity of homelessness and why staying connected to the human stories matters.

Countdown To SouperFest

The countdown is on! SouperFest is coming up on April 11, and we’re excited to once again bring the community together for one of Concord’s favorite annual traditions.

Join us for an evening of delicious soups from local restaurants while supporting the Concord Coalition to End Homelessness. Each bowl helps raise critical funds for CCEH’s programs that provide shelter, housing support, and services for people experiencing homelessness in our community.

Mark your calendars, bring your friends, and come ready to vote for your favorite soup. We hope to see you there!

Support CCEH While You Shop At Hannaford This Month!

Want to support CCEH but not sure where to start?

This month, the Concord Coalition to End Homelessness is a nonprofit partner in the Hannaford Community Bag Program. For every $2.50 reusable Community Bag sold at 73 Fort Eddy Road in Concord, CCEH will receive $1.00 from Hannaford.

It’s a simple way to support our work while doing your regular grocery shopping. If you’re visiting Hannaford this month, consider picking up a Community Bag to help support CCEH’s work to end homelessness in our community.

Did you know that CCEH offers extended warming center hours on Saturday and Sunday afternoons during the winter season? With those additional hours, we are going through our supplies faster than usual. Thank you to everyone who has donated items and reached out!

Emergency Winter Shelter Update

As the Emergency Winter Shelter season begins to wind down, the need for safe, warm overnight shelter remains critical. With the shelter scheduled to close in the morning on April 1, our team continues working each night to ensure guests have a safe place to stay during the final weeks of winter.

Volunteers support CCEH staff by assisting with guest check-ins, assigning beds, helping guests store belongings, and providing general supervision. Their commitment is essential not only to daily operations, but also to maintaining a calm and respectful environment for everyone staying at the shelter.

With just a short time remaining in the season, there are still a few opportunities to volunteer before the shelter closes on April 1. We are deeply grateful to everyone who has helped keep the Emergency Winter Shelter running safely and compassionately throughout the winter months.

Volunteers can view available shifts and sign up through CCEH's POINT volunteer page.

STREET Community Night

Looking for another easy way to support CCEH? Join us for Community Night at STREET Concord.

On March 31 from 5:00 to 9:00 p.m., STREET Concord will generously donate 20% of all in-house sales to the Concord Coalition to End Homelessness.

It’s a simple way to enjoy a great meal while supporting programs that help people in our community move toward housing and stability.

Bring a friend, grab dinner, and know that your meal is helping make a difference.

March Resource Center Sponsor

We are grateful to the Christian Science Church for sponsoring the CCEH Resource Center for the month of March. Their support helps us respond to increased needs during the winter months and ensures that guests visiting the Resource Center can access essential services and support.

Partnerships like this make a meaningful difference for our guests and our community, and we are deeply thankful for their generosity.

CCEH's Resource Center provides a safe, reliable, judgement-free space for individuals experiencing homelessness. The supplies used in the Resource Center keep our guests, volunteers, and staff happy and healthy. We are sincerely grateful to our Monthly Resource Center sponsors for ensuring that we have the supplies we need each month!
