California Tribal News
Dear tobacco colleagues,
You are receiving this email because you are a CTPP funded Tribal Competitive Grantee or LLA where you have Tribal Nations within your county jurisdictions.
PHEI’s Wellness Initiatives for Native Nations (WINN) project shares the belief of the California Tobacco Prevention Program and many others working in tobacco education throughout the State: All individuals have the right to be protected from the dangers of secondhand smoke (SHS) where they live, work, and play. WINN will work with Tribal Nations throughout California including diverse, low-income and rural communities. WINN’s Primary Objective is to reduce exposure to secondhand smoke by means of the adoption and implementation of smokefree policies that prevent smoking, vaping, or commercial tobacco use within 25 feet of doors, windows, and buildings and /or preventing smoking and commercial tobacco use indoors at tribal worksites throughout California.
We are excited to launch our California Tribal Newsletter and are looking forward to collaborating and supporting your efforts alongside ours.
Sincerely,
