A Note From Debbie...

Disability Insights Logo

In today’s world, the disability community continues to face significant barriers to full participation and inclusion. Despite progress, many individuals with disabilities still encounter challenges in accessing essential services, employment opportunities, and equitable treatment. It is crucial to address these needs with dedicated efforts and specialized expertise. By focusing on the unique requirements of the disability community, we can create environments that promote accessibility, independence, and dignity for all.

In recognition of National Disability Employment Awareness Month, I am excited to announce the launch of Disability Insights, LLC, a new company focused on consulting and training. Both Disability Independence Group and Disability Insights, LLC will continue to operate, working together to amplify their impact across both public and private sectors:

  • Disability Independence Group will remain focused on advocacy, public education, and systemic change, raising awareness and championing disability rights at the community level. This includes continuing initiatives like the Supper Social Club and The Wallet Card Project.

  • Disability Insights will complement this work by engaging directly with businesses, helping them create inclusive environments and providing tailored strategies to meet the needs of individuals with disabilities.

Together, these organizations will further our mission to create a more inclusive society—one where accessibility and inclusion are embraced as core values within every community and business.
