Riverbend's annual Youth Summer Camp, called 'Deep Creek 2026,' began late yesterday afternoon as most of the 85 participants (youth and leaders) arrived at Camp Living Water in Bryson City, North Carolina.

Before starting back home Saturday morning, the campers will hear several messages from Pastor Josh Brown, with the theme from Jesus' words: "Follow Me." Plus, they will be involved in lots of meaningful recreation and fun activities, including a Wednesday visit to Dollywood amusement park in Pigeon Forge, Tennessee.

Please keep the campers and the leaders in your prayers this week: safety, protection, discipleship, salvation, enhanced friendships and loads of unforgettable fun.

Riverbenders Jake and Jennifer Michels were interviewed recently on Pastor Keith Foskey's regular podcast. The Michels talked about their mission plans in the Democratic Republic of the Congo (in Africa) and about the training for them that resumes in August. Foskey, who preached at Riverbend several months ago, pastors Sovereign Grace Family Church in Jacksonville and, with his wife, who is also named Jennifer, do a regular podcast on YouTube called YourCalvinist.
