(Trivia Set #1 ... Facts & Figures posted each Monday in October)

November 4, 1956 — Date of Riverbend's birth ... 16 people met in a vacant two-story house at 73 West Granada Boulevard. The house, no longer there, was across the street from Corbin Avenue School (now Ormond Elementary) ... Robert Allen (7 years) ... Dixon Free (8+ years) ... Herb Reavis (1+ years) ... Roy Hargrave (25+ years) ... Scott Menez (8+ years) ... Josh Brown (2+ years & counting) ... Seven men (not listed) also served as interim pastors during pastor transition times.

Longest current active member (according to church records): Marie Harrison, 62+ years ... joined August 2, 1964, via baptism.

FROM PATTI PARKS (back in the U.S.) —

Thank you, Riverbend, for your continued prayers and support. There is spiritual fruit in Ireland today because of your faithful partnership.

This season has brought a major transition after 7+ years of life and ministry in Ireland. Leaving behind a home, car, church, and familiar routines has been difficult. One especially meaningful moment came from noticing an almost empty key ring—a simple reminder that the places once called “home” were now being left behind.

Packing the house was emotional, especially remembering the many one-to-one conversations, Bible studies, and ministry opportunities that had taken place there. Yet in the middle of that sadness, the Lord brought John 14 to mind: Jesus is preparing a place for His people.

That truth has brought great comfort during this uncertain season. Earthly homes and circumstances may change, but those who belong to Christ have a lasting home with Him. Please continue to pray for wisdom, peace, and God’s direction during this time of transition. NOTE: Edited with permission.
