Confirmation Retreat • March 10-11 • Camp Koronis

Our next Confirmation meeting will be when we head to Camp Koronis for the Confirmation Retreat, March 10-11. After that our next Sunday meeting will be March 26. 

Field Trip to Temple Israel • May 12 • 5-8pm

Mark your calendars for Friday, May 12, 5-8pm. Our Confirmation Class will be taking a field trip to Temple Israel. From 5-6pm we will be given a tour of their building and Worship space and have an opportunity to learn about Judaism from one of their Docents. Then from 6-7pm we will attend their service. After the service we will go out for dinner together as a class to discuss what we learned and how it might impact our own journeys with faith!

Community Meals!

April 2 • 4-6:30pm • Koinonia Hall

Our HAUMC youth will be serving at Community Meals on April 2 in Koinonia Hall. Students should arrive by 4pm. Parents and siblings are welcome to join.

Vision Casting Lunch

April 23 • 11:30am-1pm

You are ALL invited to join us for a Vision Casting Lunch!

When: Sunday, April 23 following Worship from 11:30am-1:00pm at HAUMC.

Who: EVERYONE! I’d love for all of our families to attend–your kids included. This will be our youth activity in April becuase I want our youth to know whats ahead for them and how they can get more invovled! I’d love for anyone who is interested in the flourishing of children, youth, and families at HAUMC to attend.

What: We will share a meal together and I will spend some time casting vision for Children, Youth, and Family Ministry for the coming year at HAUMC. I will share about my hopes and dreams for children, youth, and families at HAUMC… what I hope Sunday morning programming will look like, the kinds of events I’d like us to do together, the outreach opportunities I hope we can invest in, and what kind of teams we could build in order to see these things happens!

Why: Because it's fun to eat together! And also because we have amazing kids and youth at HAUMC and they deserve to have a community of adults to rally together and provide an environment in which they can flourish and grow in their faith. I hope that by the end of this meeting we will all have a clearer vision for how God is leading us to move forward together!

Guatemala Vision Team! 

We had an info session with Common Hope via Zoom. Please visit this link to view the recording. I need to know by the end of this week if you are seriously considering joining us. Next week I will send out the applications that each team member must fill out. The team spots are first reserved for Confirmation students and youth, along with parents and mentors to join us as chaperones. Once I've gotten commitments from youth and chaperones I will open it up to others. So, if you're considering joining, please let me know ASAP so a spot will be reserved for you! 

Summer Volunteer Opportunity

June 26-30

Are your teens looking for fun volunteer opportunities over the summer? We would love to have our HAUMC youth volunteer at VBS this summer, June 26-30. We will be partnering together with Good Samaritan UMC to put on a weeklong VBS experience for elementary age kids. Email me at [email protected] if your students would like to volunteer!
