Connecting Communities
Happy New Year from Health e Paradigm and the Medical Association of Georgia staff. We are very excited about the opportunities 2018 will bring!

Connecting Communities is our 2018 battle cry and we have hit the ground at a clip pace! While continuing to accept invitations by physician groups of every size, configuration and setting and provider associations to deliver presentations and sponsor exhibits across the state, we will also be concentrating on recruiting practices who are in the referral networks of current Health e Paradigm participants. Why? Because this is the most effective pathway to connecting Georgia's communities. Whether a large metro area, a mid-sized coastal or small mountain community, connecting primary care providers with their specialty colleagues, and other providers is the key to effective care coordination.

Health e Paradigm is proud to be a physician-led statewide health information exchange delivered in partnership with the Medical Association of Georgia, who endorses the suite of products and services allowing connected physicians, hospitals and other providers to share patient information, employ powerful business intelligence and patient engagement strategies to help improve clinical care and outcomes, support resource stewardship and promote Community (aka Population) health.

In 2018 MAG CEO Donald Palmisano and Susan W. Moore, Director of Strategic Programs and Initiatives, will be the Health e Paradigm boots-on-the-ground team. We will be travelling the state to meet with physicians and other health care providers who are interested in learning more about the benefits of the proven Health e Paradigm solution for a practice's patients, but also a solution for practices to thrive in the years to come.
We are just getting started, so it is time to engage. Ask us about the early adopter program that reduces pricing to 1/3 full price in Year 1 for physician practices and a 50% reduction for hospital pricing for Year 1 through July 1, 2018.

Health e Paradigm Adds
´╗┐Three New Analytic Dashboards
Physicians and hospitals participating in Health e Paradigm, the statewide health exchange (HIE), will appreciate the roll-out of three new dashboards in the first quarter of 2018. Utilization, Behavioral Health, and Physician Attribution dashboards all were developed in direct response to participants' requests.

Endorsed by the Medical Association of Georgia, Health e Paradigm allows physicians to access aggregate clinical data from the longitudinal patient record through web-based dashboards. The analytics dashboard reports are designed to improve patient care, reduce duplicative testing, and ease physicians' quality reporting.

The recently added analytics dashboards include:
  • Utilization dashboard - presents recent patient activity for inpatient admissions, emergency department and office visits. Displays include all patients in the patient population with eligible service activity, un-restricted by age, disease condition or level of utilization. Additional charts offer a display of office visit activity.
  • Behavioral Health dashboard - presents an overview of specific metrics that address early detection, treatment and management of patients with behavioral health and medical conditions, including depression, suicide risk, diabetes, high blood pressure and other related health conditions.
  • Physician Attribution dashboard - presents a simple interface for management and assignment of patients based on provider and payer. The summary view displays patient name, visit activity and most recent primary provider and payer. Patient level encounter detail is available. Views include a provider specific list and an administrative overview of all patients.

A Controlled Substances dashboard will be added later in 2018. For a demonstration of the dashboards, or to learn more, visit .

MACRA in 2018 - Did You Know....
CMS is offering a bonus for small practices.

Small practices with 15 or fewer eligible clinicians will get 5 bonus points on the Merit-Based incentive Payment System (MIPS) final scores in 2018. The bonus is awarded as long as the eligible physician (or group) submits data for at least one performance category. In addition, CMS will continue to awards small practices 3 points for measures in the Quality performance category when they can't meet the completeness requirement for an entire patient panel.

To learn more about how participating in an HIE such as Health e Paradigm can help you with quality reporting, call 877-921-7196 today and schedule a demonstration.
