A Statement of Solidarity
The Foothill College Honors Institute joins the millions of voices across the country calling for justice and change and grieving the loss of the lives of George Floyd, Breonna Taylor, Ahmaud Arbery, and countless others. We support the national and international efforts to bring substantive and meaningful change in police conduct and enforcement and the unjust treatment of Black communities. We recognize that organizations such as
Black Lives Matter or
Defending Black Lives have helped create momentous support for meaningful change and we stand with the organizers that continue to work with communities to call for justice and declare that Black Lives Matter.
We also want to acknowledge that the last couple of weeks have been heart-wrenching and heavy for many of us. As uplifting as some of the protest efforts have been, there are equally somber realities that communities and individuals must face during this challenging time. For this reason we want to remind the Foothill College Psychological Services is here to ensure you have support for your mental health during these times. Please contact the
Foothill College Psychological Services
to find out more information or book an appointment.
