Civic Engagement Internship Opportunity with FA PAC

The Foothill-De Anza Community College District Faculty Association Political Action Committee (FA PAC) is an arm of the labor union representing all faculty in the Foothill-De Anza Community College District. FA PAC fights for the issues that most deeply impact student and faculty lives and they are looking for interns to join that fight.

Some of the issues FA PAC student interns are fighting for are:
  • affordable housing
  • voter registration

If You Haven't Yet, Register for the First Annual Ethnic Studies Summit!

You can be part of important Foothill College History by attending the first annual Ethnic Studies summit this Friday, March 4, 2022.

This year's summit will be hosted on Zoom and will bring together local high school students and Foothill College students. The summit will include student speakers and information about Ethnic Studies at Foothill College. Featuring keynote speaker Melanie Cervantes (Xicanx), co-founder of Dignidad Rebelde. Melanie creates visual art inspired by her communities' desire for radical social transformation.


After registering, you will receive a confirmation email containing information about joining the meeting.
Deadline Approaches for Applications for the Foothill College Research and Service Learning Symposium (RSLS)

As you may know, the RSLS team has been hosting workshops to prepare students to shape research and/or service learning projects and apply for acceptance into the annual symposium. However, if you have not yet attended these workshops, it is not too late to sign up and get your application ready.

There are two more workshops offered, the last of which is about how to successfully apply by the March 18, 2022 deadline.

Attend the UCLA STOMP Conference!

UCLA STOMP invites you to attend the Student Transfer Outreach and Mentor Program's (STOMPVirtual 23rd Annual Conference on on Friday, April 8th, 2022.

As a transfer student organization, STOMP strives to help prospective transfers meet their university goals. The highlight of our program is our annual conference which is a free event catering to students from California community colleges.

This year, the virtual conference will include a holistic set of workshops addressing UC admission and financial aid resources, campus and community support programs, as well as cultural and identity-based resources.


Honors Student Counseling Report Form
All Honors Institute participants are required to meet with a counselor at least once every quarter to review or develop their educational plan, as well as to discuss any personal, career or academic concerns. Counseling appointments are scheduled for 30 minutes.

After your counseling appointment, please complete the new Counseling Report Form to record your visit and help evaluate your plan towards academic, personal, and professional successes. The Honors Institute will verify your appointment at the end of each quarter. This new reporting process replaces the documentation that counselors needed to complete.
