UC Irvine Honors to Honors Nominations
Eligible students who participate in the UC Irvine Honors to Honors are granted early admission to UCI (not necessarily to their first choice of major) and guaranteed admission to the prestigious Campus wide Honors Collegium. Students also receive priority consideration for a special set of merit-based scholarships.
Students must have a cumulative UC GPA of 3.7 in transferable coursework by the end of Fall 2021. By the end of the Spring 2022 quarter, students must have completed 90 quarter units, minimum major preparation requirements and fulfilled UC English Composition (2 courses), mathematics (1 course), and additional subject requirements (4 courses). In addition, you must also complete the Honors Scholar program by Spring 2022.
In order for Honors Institute students to be considered for UCI's Honors to Honors program, you must have applied to UC Irvine for Fall 2022 and be nominated by the Honors Institute Coordinators. Please complete the following form to begin the nomination process.

All Honors Institute participants are required to meet with a counselor at least once every quarter to review or develop their educational plan, as well as to discuss any personal, career or academic concerns. Counseling appointments are scheduled for 30 minutes.
After your counseling appointment, please complete the new Counseling Report Form to record your visit and help evaluate your plan towards academic, personal, and professional successes. The Honors Institute will verify your appointment at the end of each quarter. This new reporting process replaces the documentation that counselors needed to complete.

If you have any questions regarding your schedule, the transfer application process, or any other questions about being an honors student, please be sure to visit any one of the General Counselors. For Honors specific questions, do contact any one of our Honors Counselors:

Research and Service Learning Symposium
|
|
We know that many Honors students look forward to participating in the Bay Area Honors Consortium Research Symposium. Unfortunately, due to the pandemic, this year's symposium has been canceled. However, we want to remind you that Foothill College has its very own research and service leadership symposium and we strongly encourage Honors students to apply and participate. Applications are due March 18, 2022, so now is a great time to start envisioning projects and research proposals.
What exactly is the Research and Service Leadership Symposium?
- The Research and Service Leadership Symposium provides students an opportunity to expand their learning beyond the walls of the classroom (or the confines of the screen), to investigate their world through in-depth research projects, to create and participate in worthwhile service learning activities, including original creative arts projects, and to present their newfound knowledge, insights and experiences to the campus community.
Check out the links below for more details if you're interested:
Please contact Allison Herman at hermanallison@fhda.edu or Michael McCusker at mccuskermichael@fhda.edu, co-coordinators of the RSL Symposium.
