KNEWSLETTER - Vol. 25

We don't know if you heard, but Punxsutawney Phil came out of his hatch on February 2nd... and didn't see his shadow. Hard to believe after recent reports of snow in nearby higher elevations, but Phil has reportedly never been wrong. You may want to take that under advisement and start working on your boat sooner rather than later this year. Sailors, be sure to take advantage of our current rigging specials before they hibernate for spring.

We recently reached out to you asking for help in regards to the lawsuit that KKMI is involved in - and to say that we are overwhelmed by the response is a massive understatement. As one letter stated in reference to the boating community  " ... it won't take long for our tightknit group to get engaged." We couldn't be more proud to be a part of this group. And we are immensely grateful for your support. We will keep you posted on the outcome.

CHECKING IN WITH RANDALL REEVES

Randall is past the horn and making his way around Antartica - way to go Randall! Cheering him on is easy because of his sense of humor that comes through so clearly in his writing. If you haven't scrolled through some of his musings, do yourself a favor follow along. Every day is an adventure with Randall, you're bound to learn something. See the two posts below posts that reveal how Randall's wit is keeping him sane... which, as you may well know, is a relative term.

Here are two of our most recent favorites:

L AST KNEWSLETTER CHALLENGE & WINNER

CHALLENGE:
True or False? Rigs generally fail because they are too loose, not from being too tight.

ANSWER:
True.  Both rapid acceleration and deceleration of a load can create a shock force that far exceeds the working load limit of the wire rope.

Congratulations to our big winner this month, Ralph Morganstern. Here's Ralph with his lovely wife, Linda, on their J 30, Geodesic

Here's Ralph with his winning swag! Congratulations again!
