Track Spotlight & Paper of the Week
HDD Track

Track Leaders are Program Committee members that have the added responsibility of managing a track of the technical program. They work with the authors by peer-reviewing papers and presentations to ensure non-commercial, quality content. If you are interested in joining the Program Committee and being a Track Leader contact Michelle Hill.

This week we're featuring Jim Murphy, Trenchless Lead at UniversalPegasus International , A Subsidiary of Huntington Ingalls Industries. Thank you for your volunteerism, Jim!
The paper of the week was the most highly attended paper in the HDD Track on Tuesday morning during the NASTT 2019 No-Dig Show:

HDD Under Pearl Harbor Provides Joint Base Pearl Harbor-Hickam with the New Water Supply Line

Joint Base Pearl Harbor-Hickam (JBPHH) needed a new water supply line across Pearl Harbor in order to meet its potable water and life safety requirements. The project included 3,500 feet of water line via steel encased HDD method from Ford Island to Landing C of JBPHH, through extremely soft soil with structurally unstable sediments.

Written by: Devin Nakayama, Richard Botteicher, Andrew Amuro and Marvin Lee. Download the paper here!
