Pipe Ramming Track

The paper of the week was the most highly attended paper in the Pipe Ramming Track on Monday afternoon during the NASTT 2019 No-Dig Show:

Use of the Pipe Ramming Method to Finish Installations Begun by Other Trenchless Methods

This case study describes a 24-in. casing installation job in Wisconsin begun with the auger boring technique. Auger boring operations stopped in saturated soil conditions of heavy, wet sand after progressing only 20 ft. The contractor used a 16-in. pneumatic ramming tool to install 90 ft of 36-in. steel-wall casing.

The intent of the NASTT Hall of Fame is to preserve the outstanding accomplishments of exceptional individuals and to honor their contributions to the advancement of both the trenchless industry and the Society.
 
NASTT’s Hall of Fame award will be presented at the 2020 No-Dig Show in Denver, Colorado during the Gala Awards Dinner on Tuesday, April 7.
