NOTE FROM THE SUPERINTENDENT
World Class Schools for Our Students:
A Thank You to NCSD Teachers
It was March of 2020 when school districts across the country transitioned to a remote learning environment and the Norwalk CSD learned we would not be returning to school after spring break. Fast forward to May of 2021 and it has simply been amazing and inspirational how our teaching staff has stepped up to lead our district through this pandemic.

The NCSD Board of Directors passed a Teacher Appreciation Week resolution at the April 26 Board meeting. This resolution reaffirms the love and respect that our school community has for our teachers. Please consider reaching out and thanking a teacher for all of their hard work and sacrifices this year, especially during Teacher Appreciation Week (May 3-7).

NCSD teachers have learned new skills during this pandemic and have gone above and beyond to serve students who are learning in-person, learning while in a COVID-19 quarantine, and learning remotely. A common proverb in education is that teaching is both an art and science. Our teachers have proven that this year through their use of sound instructional strategies while customizing instruction to meet the needs of our students. NCSD teachers are all truly amazing.

NCSD teachers, thanks for teaching!

Yours in service,
D.T. Magee
