VENTANA RANCH AND WHITE SANDS ARE NAMED NATIONAL BLUE RIBBON SCHOOLS

Three schools in New Mexico were designated as the U.S. Department of Education's National Blue Ribbons Schools in 2024, including 2 schools with PTAs: White Sands School and Ventana Ranch Elementary School. This prestigious recognition is given to schools that perform well on tests and close achievement gaps between different groups of students. NMPTA congratulates these schools for this recognition.

SUPPORT YOUR BUDDING ARTISTS WITH THE REFLECTIONS ART PROGRAM

Host a Reflections program in your PTA! Students create artwork in any of 6 categories following this year's theme: Accepting Imperfection. All entries advance to the state level then possibly to the National level for additional chances to win prizes and national recognition. Funding is available through the Mary Lou Anderson Reflections Arts Enhancement Grant (due at 11:59 pm on Oct 1, 2024). Visit www.newmexicopta.org/reflections for details.

GRANT TO SUPPORT DENTAL HEALTH

Delta Dental of New Mexico has announced the launch of a new small grant program, Smiles Across New Mexico!!

This program aims to provide $2,500 to $5,000 grants to organizations across New Mexico to help fund dental education initiatives and programs to promote the oral health of under-served children and individuals in at-risk populations.

Applications are due Oct 31, 2024.
