The mission of NMPTA is to make every child's potential a reality

by engaging and empowering families and communities to advocate for all children.

WELCOME TO THE NEW SCHOOL YEAR

The NMPTA fiscal and membership year began July 1 and the school year will begin in just a few days. We're all starting anew with fresh energy, ideas and potential. NMPTA wishes you a very successful year. We're here to support you as you support the children in your community.

Do you know all that NMPTA does to support you? Please view the State of the State address that shares our wins in 2023-2024 and our hopes for 2024-2025.

We're curious about what you already know about us and what we can do to serve you better. If you're a PTA leader, please take this very short, 3-minute survey about NMPTA.

Budget to Attend the 2025 Annual Convention

It's time to make your PTA's 2024-2025 budget! It's due to NMPTA by Sep 30, 2024.

Did you know that you can budget for your PTA officers and members to attend the NMPTA Annual Convention? Include convention registration fees in your PTA's proposed budget. Post the proposed budget for 10 days so your members can consider it fully and ask questions. Then, vote on your budget at the next membership meeting. If your members approve the budget, you can send your PTA's representatives to the amazing, informative and fun Annual Convention at no personal cost to them.

AUG. 12 IS INTERNATIONAL YOUTH DAY

PTA will always be committed to the interests of our youth. It's important that NMPTA works directly with young people to hear their voices loud and clear. We're building a Youth Committee, and we're interested in learning from the youth in your community. We're looking for youth who are:

  • 15-18 years old
  • eager to share their points of view
  • residents of New Mexico
  • supported by their caregivers to join the NMPTA Youth Committee

Note that being at a school with a PTA is not required. Those that join the Youth Committee will have the opportunity to join the Land of Enchantment PTA.
