WICT's chapter awards measure important aspects of its Model Chapter Business Plan (MCBP), and chapters earn points for performance that meets or exceeds guidelines laid out in the MCBP. WICT presents the Chapter of the Year award to the top performing chapter(s) as measured by MCBP scores in areas such as programming, marketing and communications, governance and membership. For 2020, the WICT Europe, Greater Philadelphia and Southeast Chapters earned the most possible points and received the Chapter of the Year award.

WICT also recognized the Chapter President of the Year, WICT Southeast’s Renita Griskel, Director, Emerging Media Content, Discovery, Inc.; and the Chapter Advisor of the Year, WICT New England’s Lori LeBas, SVP, Business Operations, Disney Media Distribution.

“Our chapters serve an integral role in achieving our mission of developing women leaders,” said Hassana Howe, WICT Global’s VP, Member and Chapter Development. “In the face of a pandemic, their dedication never wavered as they pivoted from in-person programs to virtual events. It has been inspiring to witness, and it helped our WICT community tremendously.”

Amanda Gorman: Author, Poet & Role Model

On January 20, 2021, Amanda Gorman became the youngest poet, at age 22, to deliver a reading at a presidential inauguration. WICT salutes Amanda, America's first-ever Youth Poet Laureate, for her message of unity delivered via her poem, The Hill We Climb.

Some of you may recall that Amanda opened WICT's 2020 Leadership Conference last fall, inspiring us with her words of wisdom. Click the image below to listen to her full poem from the conference.

1:00 - 5:00 pm (Eastern) Each Day
Virtual Program

Executive leadership presence is a critical competency for today’s leaders and is expected in order to move beyond mid-management. Executive Leadership Presence, one of two workshops in WICT’s Executive Development Series, is designed for mid-career professional women to inspire confidence, engage and influence others, and maintain productivity while increasing visibility and career mobility.

This virtual program introduces participants to a unique framework and toolkit of 12 specific attributes, skills and thought processes that work together to help them build the knowledge and expertise needed to:

  • Project strong executive presence;
  • Create powerful, high-impact first impressions;
  • Project your power and presence through vocal and verbal command;
  • Promote your economic impact; and
  • Build and maintain a reputation for strong executive presence and a value-based leadership brand.

Finally, participants practice bringing all elements together by recording themselves delivering an Emotionally Intelligent POV mock presentation and then receiving feedback from their peers and our professional coaches.

Registration is currently full, however seats may open up as the program approaches. Click the button below to place your name on the waiting list and reserve your place in line.
