30th YEAR of the GLOBAL WEEK OF PRAYER

March 1-6, 2026

As the 2026 Global Week of Prayer approaches, NMI invites the church to pray for the needs of our global churches and districts with requests from the regions. This is the 30th year of the Global Week of Prayer, and we have some new and exciting resources to share with you!

May this week be a sacred time as we serve as the global missions advocate in every local church, nurturing a spirit of missions and mobilizing into action, impacting people around the world. Thank you for praying!

JAMAICA DISASTER RELIEF TRIP PLANNED FOR JULY 20-27

Cost per person - $1,400

25 Member Team Maximum

Hurricane Melissa caused massive destruction to the churches of the Jamaica West District. South Texas District has responded by assembling and sending 15 Disaster Relief Pallets but the great need to restore the church buildings remains. We can help ensure that Nazarenes in Jamaica are able to restore their churches as they continue to be a spiritual anchor in their communities.

A small team went to assess damage and were able to roof the Burnt Savannah Church. The team going in July will need skilled laborers such as carpenters, masons, painters, roofers, electricians, plumbers and people who can do demolition/debris hauling.

Applications, including a $100 non-refundable deposit, need to be sent to Darin Pound no later than March 10, 2026.

For more information see the email from the District dated January 13, 2026.

What is ALABASTER?

The Alabaster Offering provides funds for property and buildings around the world. While we understand the church consists of the people of God and not a building, buildings erected for the purpose of ministry help provide a sense of permanence, functionally enhance ministry efforts, and convey an attitude that the Church of the Nazarene intends to “put down roots”! February and September are focused times for Alabaster giving. For videos and supplies go to www.nazarene.org/nmi

West Africa Partnership

The South Texas/West Africa Partnership presents an opportunity to "walk alongside our Nazarene brothers and sisters as they serve as the hands and feet of Jesus" through support for a special project Rev. Vidal Cole and the West Africa District are undertaking,

The West Africa District is constructing the first Nazarene church building in Sierra Leone, a multi-floor building that will benefit the local church and the district. Already a thriving center of worship, discipleship and outreach, the project continues with the construction of its third and fourth floors, but an additional $45,239 needs to be raised to complete this phase.
