The FY23 Brownfields Multipurpose, Assessment, RLF, and Cleanup Grant Guidelines are Available 

The United States (US) Environmental Protection Agency's (EPA's) Brownfields Program is accepting Brownfield grant proposals, through the www.grants.gov website until November 22, 2022. 


FY 2023 Multipurpose Grant

  • Up to $800,000 per award
  • Up to 5-year Project Period
  • Current recipients must demonstrate that payment has been received from the EPA and drawn down funds have been disbursed for at least 70% of each Multipurpose cooperative agreement with the EPA by October 1, 2022


FY 2023 Community-Wide Assessment Grant

  • Up to $500,000 per award
  • Up to 4-year Project Period
  • Current recipients must demonstrate that payment has been received from the EPA and drawn down funds have been disbursed for at least 70% of each Multipurpose cooperative agreement with the EPA by October 1, 2022


FY 2023 Assessment Coalition Grant 

  • Up to $1M
  • Up to 4-year Project Period
  • One lead eligible entity with two to four eligible entities who do not have the capacity to apply for and manage their own EPA cooperative Agreement
  • Lead entity must be a state, county government, Indian tribe   
  • Current recipients must demonstrate that payment has been received from the EPA and drawn down funds have been disbursed for at least 70% of each Multipurpose cooperative agreement with the EPA by October 1, 2022

     

FY 2023 Cleanup Grant 

  • Three Tiers
  • Up to $500k
  • $500K - $1M
  • $1M - $2M
  • Up to 4-year Project Period
  • Brownfield sites where Brownfields Cleanup Grant funds were previously expended may not receive additional Cleanup Grant funding
