Due to the snow and ice, the Charlottesville Taste of OLLI was unfortunately canceled yesterday. We are unable to reschedule it with registration opening next week on Tuesday, 1/23. Please come to the live events in Crozet today or Staunton on Friday. Below is a video our instructors were so kind to make with us yesterday instead. As always, OLLI provides the snacks and you and your guests buy your own drinks. We can't wait to see you along with some wonderful new OLLI faces! Member Watch Party Interest

We are planning a FREE Spring 24 Member Benefit Watch Party, hosted by Susan Howe, for the new WWII series, Masters of the Air. This long-awaited series is scheduled to premiere on Apple TV+. The Watch Parties will begin February 23 at 11:30 a.m. at OLLI at UVA, watching one episode per week.

The series completes Tom Hanks’ and Steven Spielberg’s WWII trilogy, including Band of Brothers and The Pacific. It is based on the novel, Masters of the Air: America’s Bomber Boys Who Fought the Air War Against Nazi Germany, by Donald L. Miller. The series follows the missions of the Eighth Air Force 100th Bombardment Group, named “the Bloody Hundredth” for the high losses the group sustained during the European Air Campaign.
