Abilities First is proud to join NYS Office for the Prevention of Domestic Violence (OPDV) and the NYS Developmental Disabilities Planning Council (DDPC) in hosting a conversation about increasing access to domestic and sexual violence services for survivors with developmental disabilities. This is informational session is for all Developmental Disability Service Providers working in the state of New York.

  • Statistics on the pervasiveness of gender-based violence
  • Risk factors that lead to alarmingly high rates of victimization
  • Barriers to accessing domestic and/or sexual violence services
