When you meet and talk with Trena, you can't help but feel her passion for how drawing helps to bring calmness and joy to her. Trena hopes others feel that, too. Trena draws her inspiration from things that make her happy, and she wants you to feel happy when you view her artwork. Her smile is contagious, and her gently calm voice with a hint of giggles beams across her face as she speaks. Trena resides at an AF residential home and spends time with her Abilities First friends doing volunteer work for Meals on Wheels and helping in the community in the Abilities First WOW program.

Trena has chosen to donate the "Larry the Dog" drawing to the silent auction taking place at the upcoming Golf and Tennis Classic. Proceeds from her drawing can help fund the upcoming end-of-summer picnic for her and her friends at Abilities First.

The Silent Auction will take place on Monday, September 11, during the reception portion of the Golf and Tennis Classic. To purchase your ticket or find out more information on Trena's piece being auctioned off, contact JoAnn at joannparker@abilitiesfirstny.org.
