Inaugural Think Wealth Think Pickleball Event a Smashing Success
|
We are thrilled to share the incredible success of our inaugural Think Wealth Think Pickleball event, which brought together enthusiasts from all walks of life for a day filled with spirited competition, laughter, and raising funds for the mission of Abilities First.
The event spearheaded by FAFNY Board Member & Event Chair Michael Pine unfolded with great enthusiasm as players of all skill levels gathered at Sportsplex New Windsor.
The success of the event was not only measured by the joyous moments on the court but also by the support received from our generous sponsors and community partners like Think Wealth LLC, NFP, Beer World, Hannaford’s and Corey’s Pickles. Their contributions ensured that the event was a smashing triumph, enabling us to further our philanthropic mission and make a positive impact on the lives of those we serve.

Donor Supported Events for Abilities First Individuals
|
|
The generosity of our donors has enabled us to curate events that go beyond entertainment and recreation. They serve as catalysts for personal development, enhancing skills, and nurturing self-confidence. One such event was a fun and raucous night at the Northeast Spring Slam! The Abilities First Mews Program was treated to an entertaining evening and even had the chance to meet wrestling personalities including "Mr. Northeast Wrestling".
We are deeply grateful to donors like Michael Lombardi, President of Northeast Wrestling, Inc., for generously supporting the evening out and who for recognizing the importance of investing in the well-being and growth of individuals within our community. If you are interested in supporting future events and initiatives, please contact JoAnn Parker, Director of Development at joannparker@abilitiesfirstny.org.

It is with great pride and joy that we honor Niomi, Victoria, Justin and Saray during this graduation season. The LaGrange (Firemens Way) School Class of 2023 graduation marks a significant milestone in the lives of the graduates. It was a momentous occasion where family, friends, educators, and the entire community came together to celebrate their accomplishments, determination, and spirit.
Throughout their educational journey, our special graduates have displayed remarkable progress, growth, and a commitment to reaching their full potential. The future looks bright for these students as they continue with their education in vocational settings, Day Habilitation programs and other Abilities First classes. Their dedication, supported by the guidance of our exceptional teachers and staff, has paved the way for their success. Cheers to our Grads!
The Abilities First LaGrange School would like to thank the Foundation for Abilities First for their generous underwriting of the graduation event and support throughout the entire school year. The Foundation works to assure the sustainability of the mission of Abilities First.
