Helping Hands Volunteers.png

Helping Hands is taking a couple of weeks off. But we are still in need of volunteers for a few hours on Tuesdays between 9:30 a.m. and 2:30 p.m. All you need is a BIG heart, the GIFT OF GAB and compassion for our many family caregivers who need a little time for themselves. We have a devotional, music, therapy dogs, old-time TV shows / movies, a great lunch, and good, old-fashioned visiting!

You are needed for as many (or as few hours) as you have available. You can choose your ‘Tuesday of the Month’ if that suits you best. The pleasure of the company of our Helping Hands clients will be ALL YOURS. And tons of thanks will come from our families and other regular volunteers. We are especially looking for retired physicians and RN's.

Note, we are requiring all volunteers and clients to be fully vaccinated from Covid-19.

Call Bev Villines at 501-978-0510 for more info and to sign up.

Hendrix Clothing Drive _2_.png

The Hendrix Office of Development and PHUMC are hosting a Professional Dress Clothing Drive to benefit Hendrix students. We will be accepting donated items in a drive-thru on Thursday, January 27, from 10 a.m. to 12:15 p.m. outside of Wesley Hall (Entrance 7)!

What students need: We are looking for items of all sizes in good condition that would be appropriate for an interview or professional conference. Dress shirts, slacks, loafers, dresses, skirts, heels, ties, silk scarves, costume jewelry-if you think it will help a student on a tight budget piece an interview outfit together, we will take it!

Your donated items will be featured at a special FREE STORE EVENT for Hendrix students in February, where staff will be on hand to help students prepare for the Career and Internship Fair in March.
